What is Permaculture?

Permaculture is a principle of design used to create sustainable and self sufficient eco-systems.

"Permaculture is a philosophy of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted & thoughtful observation rather than protracted & thoughtless labour; of looking at plants & animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a single-product system."

Bill Mollison - Permaculture: A Designers Manual

The core ethics of Permaculture are:

Care of the earth
Care of the people
Reinvest all surplus

Permaculture follows guiding principals:

Each element of the design needs multiple functions
Each function is supported by multiple elements
Each element is interconected
